In addition to the usual squirrels, I've had raccoons and possums in my backyard (in Seattle), though never a rabbit or a duck. Usually my dachshunds chase them off, though one day I let them in to the yard, saw them run hellbent-for-leather at something under the cypress tree that looked like a big cat, and then saw them suddenly halt, stare, and *slowly back away*. Turned out to be a possum sitting on the ground, staring right back at them with those hideous little eyes, and it was bigger than them. Both my wiener dogs turned around and came trotting back to the house, tails between their legs. So much for the hunting instinct.
They completely ignore the ducks at the park, too, even when the ducks are crossing the path right in front of them. The ducks, come to think of it, are about the same size as them, too. Guess they'll only chase really small things.
