Yes, that's one of the two she recommends taking out, alas. At least it's easily accessible, which will make it considerably less expensive. Apparently there's a rather nasty borer that's done for a lot of ash trees around the Twin Cities. The birch tree is okay but could use watering -- not recently, she hastened to add, but in general. And there's one more tree in front, close to the street -- an oak, maybe? Anyway, that one's in fine shape.
