I've now seen Rashomon. It was interesting, and not what I expected. I'd been thinking (from what I'd heard about it) that it was going to be the same events seen by different people, with different interpretations of those events. Instead, it was different versions of what actually happened. So instead of being about the interpretation of events, it's about the lies people tell themselves (and then come to believe) in order to make the happenings palatable to themselves. Or at least that's how I saw it.
