AKICILJ: Crashing browser

Any idea why this link (among many others) should crash my copy of Internet Explorer but not Mozilla Firefox?

Also any specific movie page in Netflix.

This is getting really annoying, but I don't like Mozilla Firefox well enough to switch completely.
