I hope all goes well and that you end up with 100% vision in that eye. If you do need cataract surgery, it's not bad, and they can give you better vision with the new lens they put in. It sounds like you have good plans in place to keep occupied. I didn't have trouble reading with my other eye after my retinal surgeries.
