My iPod has died
Feb. 6th, 2006 09:03 am...and I am bereft.
No music, no audiobooks, no nothing. And the backup radio Walkman I thought I had also turns out to be nonfunctional.
I'm not sure what happened with the iPod. It worked on the way to my friend's house, but when I plugged it in after dropping her off, it was emulating a deck of cards for all its functionality.
It wasn't the charger in the car, because the charger in my office failed to bring it back to life. I think
lsanderson must have had something to do with it, with the article he posted about lack of iPod customer support. The timing is just too close to be coincidental.
Unless someone has any bright ideas on how to resuscitate it, I'll be off to the MoA today to buy a replacement. I suppose there's never a good time to be out an unplanned $300 or so.
Edited to add:
ckd suggested that I try resetting it, and it worked. I am unberefted, at least until it does it again more permanently.
