In which I go *splat*
Jun. 20th, 2006 09:10 amI've been running (slowly) three times a week for at least five years now, and I've never had a spill until now. But today, I was about three-quarters of the way around Lake Nokomis when my left toe bumped into an uneven sidewalk slab. I couldn't recover in time, and went sprawling. I skinned both knees rather impressively, cut my lip, and did something to my left arm -- it doesn't hurt most of the time, but I keep doing things that make the elbow hurt. (I know -- if it hurts, don't do that. Well, if I could figure out what made it hurt, I would. Or wouldn't, rather.)
I also scratched my glasses a bit and bent them somewhat, but they're functional.
All in all, it could have been much worse. And I didn't even break the iPod I was carrying at the time.
But I suspect I'll be walking, not running, come Thursday.
