Living room!

mizzlaurajean, there is finally progress on the redecoration of the living room, which has been hanging fire since I moved in four years ago.
The first step is to get the room painted, and I had Tom Bell (the painter originally recommended by Realtor Bob) over to discuss the project and get an estimate. The whole thing should cost around $600, and will commence on November 12 or thereabouts. The nasty wood paneling will get painted a warmish pink or a light orange or salmon or whatever you want to call it, and the molding, which is the same nasty grayish wood will get stained a redder color to match the reddish wood beams and the pinkish bricks of the fireplace.
Which brings me to step zero, which is getting everything out of the living room except the sofa, which Tom says can stay. I'm not sure how many people I actually need, but volunteers would certainly be appreciated. I'm having people over for a Romance Exchange on 10 November, so the obvious day to do it is Sunday, 11 November.
