The driveway is shoveled
Feb. 21st, 2011 08:53 pmSonny, my peripatetic yard guy, called this morning and asked if I wanted the driveway shoveled tomorrow. I'd been about to consider tackling it myself, but the timing was just right, except that a) he has a tendency to procrastinate, and b) I really wanted to get out Tuesday morning to meet Pat WINOLJ for exercise.
So I told him yes, but only if he could make it over today. He came over around 6:45, and started in on it. By 7:30, he'd made limited progress, and when
arkuat came home soon after, he planned to join him. But then a neighbor with a snowblower came by, and apparently they worked out some sort of reciprocal arrangement that I didn't ask about. As a result, the job got done much faster. Which is a good thing, because I'm not sure that this snowfall and my driveway is a one-person job sans snowblower.
It's time for me to buy a snowblower.
And I should be good for getting out tomorrow, as long as I manage to keep the car on a straight line. If it goes into one of the snowbanks on either side, I'll be in trouble.
