Wow, that was a dumb movie
Mar. 23rd, 2015 03:45 pmLast night, I watched While You Were Sleeping. I have no idea why it was on my Netflix queue; someone must have recommended it, I suppose. Possibly because it's set in Chicago; I did do a certain amount of playing spot-the-landmark.
Plot summary here.
I know romantic comedies are supposed to get a certain amount of leeway in terms of unbelievability of plots, but this is one movie where there would be no movie if one person had said, "Wait, you didn't hear me correctly" at the beginning. I think that plotting based on lies piled on misunderstandings piled on lies might be a squick on a par with the way I feel on plots that depend on embarrassment and slapstick.
On the other hand, Sandra Bullock was very pretty to watch, and there were a few good lines, none of which I remember at the moment.
