Progress and yet to do

I finished the pair of socks I was knitting, so I now have a birthday present for my mother.
The Guinness ginger cake has been assembled and baked, and is now cooling on the rack.
I went through the drifts of mail on the table in the living room and created two bags of recycling and one small pile of things to deal with.
I henna'd my hair yesterday, so that's done and I don't have to listen to invidious comments from my mother.
Still to do
Deal with the small pile of "to do" mail.
Sort through the smaller drift of mail on the kitchen table, and deal with any "to do" items there.
Finish Pat's sweater. This involves repairing the oops I made in binding off one placket (I hope I don't have to rip back several rows, but I fear the worst), knitting the other placket, and knitting the collar. I don't know why these finishing bits are such an un-fun project when I really enjoyed doing the rest of the sweater. And Pat keeps pointing out how cold it's getting.
Figure out what sock pattern and yarn (I have three skeins of sock yarn to choose from) to use for my next knitting project. By all rights I shouldn't start another one until I finish Pat's sweater, but the sweater isn't portable and I'm going to Chicago for the weekend. I'll salve my conscience by doing that one only as the traveling project. At least, that's the plan.
