This is rather unsettling

...and I am not going to panic. Yet, at least.

There's a hole in my vision (dear Liza, dear Liza).

I noticed it yesterday evening. If I look at a book with just my left eye, there's a blurry area that I can't see through. It's as if someone took a small ball of plastic wrap and put it right on top of where I'm looking. If I blink while I'm looking at something white, that blurry area has a starburst shape around it.

I have an appointment with the eye doctor this afternoon. Then, with luck, I'll find out whether I should a) panic, b) do something, or c) learn to live with it.
