I have the wrong sorts of friends

Not for most things, mind you. But for traveling, I have friends with disposable time, and friends with disposable money, but few friends with both. I don't have excessive amounts of both, but I like to travel with what I do have.
And I'd love to take this opportunity -- a 14-day transatlantic cruise, starting in Rome and ending in Ft. Lauderdale. Prices start at $499 per person, but of course that's for a two-person cabin. And honestly, it's more fun to travel with someone else. (I traveled for five months alone; that's how I know.)
Anyone interested, she asked hopefully.

I ended up enjoying the Alaskan cruise I went on so much more than I expected I would. The balcony off our room was especially nice, as it meant I could spend quite a bit of time out there reading and watching the water in peace and quiet.

Any interest? A cruise is about the most relaxing way to take an interesting vacation (as opposed to a resort, I mean).
