Not, alas, an academic question

If one happened to have a pile of clothing on the floor, and one discovered belatedly that cat or cats had peed on it and the pee had dried, is there anything that will remove the stain? The enzyme stuff will remove the smell, but if it's permanently discolored, there's a bunch of stuff that's going to be a dead loss.

Mostly in cotton clothing, but some rayon and (alas) silk.

The cats are hissing at each other right now; I'm starting to think I may have to find a new home for one of them. They're great individually, and they get along half the time, but the other half is a problem that isn't going away.

How long have the cats been not liking each other? We had two that took months to reconcile to one another, but they eventually did.

They're littermates, so they've been squabbling all their lives (they're 2.5 years old now), but it seems to have become more meaningful in the past few months.

They can't eat out of side-by-side food bowls anymore; the big one shoves the small one aside. And there are nasty hissing and chasing attacks, though mostly what gets damaged is anything in the house that's stacked, like CDs or books. They don't seem to injure each other. If it weren't for the peeing, I think we'd all be in an ongoing state of detente with occasional squabbles.

Yeah, two and a half years is certainly long enough. My sympathy for your plight. It can't be easy.
