AKICILJ: Name the font?

I know I've seen it before, I might even own it. But if I do, I can't seem to find it. And a couple of online font identification sites didn't come anywhere close. Does anyone else recognize it?



ETA: I'm pretty sure it's Rustikalis DT Light. Anyone happen to have it available for a worthwhile cause?

No, that doesn't sound familiar. I tried two of the automated sites; I didn't submit to a forum.

For what it's worth, it's old enough that it's probably letterpress. But I'd like to find something reasonably close, if not the same one.

It came up with three fonts that were kinda sorta ballparky, but nothing with that distinctive "a."

I'm going through all the gothic & script fonts at dafont.com, but it's a weird combo of half-unical meets 1980s SF. Where did you find it? And are you looking to use it specifically, or just find something close? Cos I can either a) re-create the text as a vector graphic for you or b) find you a font with a similar look/feel.

Was it from a 'zine? If so, what fandom? That may have clues to the origin...

You're absolutely right about 1980s; it's from the Trek zine One Way Mirror. And given the fact that the body type appears to have been done on an IBM Selectric, I'm betting it's letterpress.

But I think I've nailed it down, with the help of whatfontis.com. The first time I tried that site, I gave it the one-line file that another site insisted on. This time, I gave it both lines, and it came up aces. It's almost a perfect match with Rustikalis DT Light. My sample is wider than the online version, but the letterforms are exactly right.

Unfortunately, it's not one of the fonts I own. You, by any chance?
