Various, I guess
Apr. 13th, 2003 09:28 pmMinicon is still eating my life. Spent most of the weekend tweaking the schedule and loading up the database. The schedule is pretty much stable now, though. We'll add and subtract people as necessary, but it's going to take a great deal of force or bribery to get me to move a panel to a new time.
The current schedule is at http://www.mnstf.org/minicon/minicon38/preliminary_program_grid.html. I'm still looking for a) An intelligent person who doesn't like Heinlein's writing (and can explain why) for the 1 pm Friday Heinlein panel and b) articulate Buffy/Angel watchers for the Metaphors in Buffy panel on Saturday 11 a.m. Volunteers welcome.
Also spent a couple of hours going over edits in
minnehaha B's book. Just one chapter, but a long one.
Got some bad news from my mother yesterday. The daughter of one of her closest friends (Toby L.) recently died of a heart attack. Lisa was a year or so younger than I am. People my age aren't supposed to get heart attacks. Especially not females. She'd had endocarditis a couple of years ago, Mom said, and that was probably a contributing factor. She has a daughter and a son. I remember going over to visit when Carly was just born. Now she's high school age or more. And thinking about this is all so banal. Time passes. There is nothing new under the sun, including my thoughts.
