I need to declutter my life, I'll grant that. But right now, I'm considering starting with a couple of cats.

I keep finding things that I've left around that have been pissed on by one or both of the cats. So far, they haven't peed on the carpet in the one carpeted room in the house (my bedroom) where they're allowed, but anything smaller and fabric-like seems to be fair game.

They've peed on couch throw pillows (but not the couch), a floppy hat, a down comforter, a shower curtain (don't ask), and (most recently) a couple of tablecloths that were left out until I decided whether to dry clean or wash them. Now the tablecloths are in the washing machine with an extra soak and warm water, but I suspect their next stop will be into the garbage can.

The cats have two litter boxes and the most expensive litter on the market in one of them. Despite that, half the time time they use the bathtub proper instead of the litter box in said bathtub. I can't take a shower without scrubbing out the tub. The bathroom always stinks, and it's not the litter box; it's the tub.

I can't apply any sort of disciplinary action because I always discover it long after the fact. I'm really starting to wonder if there are territory issues and I need to get rid of one of them, despite their being siblings. They do hiss and swipe at each other from time to time, but they don't seem to have serious fights. Other than getting rid of either 70% of my possessions or some number of cats, does anyone have any suggestions?
