Five things make a post
Sep. 26th, 2011 11:27 pm1. Farthing Party was great, though the hotel was not a wonderful match for us. I slept well despite the noise, which rather surprised me. I attended bunches of panels, ate too much, and made decent progress on both my knitted sock and the drop spindle spinning project.
2. This is the third or fourth convention this year where I have come home with the convention crud. I think I need to do something about my immune system.
3. Once home, I had a few bad minutes where I thought I'd lost my passport, which I need again in just a few weeks. Thankfully, I hadn't. It was exactly where it belonged, despite my having no recollection of having put it there.
4. The Hennepin County library system now lets you check out books via Kindle. This works better if you have a specific book in mind -- the search function works just fine, but otherwise I'd have to scroll through 3K or so SF and fantasy novels to see what they have.
5. My cats are annoyed at me for abandoning them for the weekend, but they're not actually doing the "there is no human here" thing. And they'll probably relent and come sleep on the bed with me. Which I think I will repair to right now.
