Enough, Quantico!

I've deleted the TV show Quantico from my to-record list on my DVR. Honestly, if the FBI is anything like this stupid, this incompetent, and this assured of its absolute rightness while being infiltrated from top to bottom with terrorists or their catspaws, I really don't want to know about it.

It's been renewed for next season, but I won't be watching it. Alas that there's no more Television Without Pity; that would have been the perfect vehicle for keeping up.

I'm glad you posted this. I have a handful of episodes on my DVR from the current season, and have wondered for a while now if I want to delete them unwatched and cancel my season pass. Somehow it's not (or no longer?) what I had signed on for in the first season.

The next one on the bubble is Blindspot. Have you been watching that? It's a similar premise in that there's this huge conspiracy and while individual plots get dealt with, the overarching conspiracy goes on and on.

I watched Lost to the bitter end, but I'm not doing that again. Not while the show is airing, anyway. I can always go back and binge watch if it turns out to be worthwhile. (Which is one of the nicer aspects of living in the future.)

On the other hand Limitless is turning out better than I expected. It started out as fluff with some problematic elements, and little by little those problematic elements are being brought to the fore and dealth with. It's all back rooms and conspiracy, too, but it makes me enjoy it more.

And when I get tired of grimdark, I still have a few seasons The Great British Bake Off left to watch. I'm not sure what I'll do when I'm up to date on those, though.

Yeah, I'm close to bailing out on Blindspot, too.

I need to be more ruthless about dumping TV shows. As you say, often it should be possible for me to Netflix them if they turn out to be good.

So much TV, so little time. Yay for living in the future! Where I can perhaps binge on Limitless when next housesitting with cable's On Demand feature.

Still watching Blindspot too, but again just because the puzzles are different enough. I may drop it when Person of Interest comes back next month.

I'm sticking with it because its weekly puzzles are different from the standard crime-show puzzles. Also, its pretty people are more diverse (though weirdly no black people other than the academy director & her kid) than usual for TV. Just enough of a soap opera that I can ignore some of the silliness.

Still, what to do with all those shows recorded but unwatched? It helps to have time enough to binge occasionally, but that's the best solution I've got.
