One down, one to go
Sep. 1st, 2005 08:22 pmMy new DVD player arrived today, two business days ahead of schedule. Go Amazon. I managed to plug it in and connect everything up, and watched one DVD, then went a-googling for the region-free code. I found several of them for the same machine, which was a bit unnerving, but tried one of the more recently posted ones (with the tray out, enter 7, 8, 9, OK, 0) and it worked like a charm.
So now I can play my Professionals DVDs, as well as everything else.
Now I just need my DVD recorder back so I can pull the Queer Eye episodes I've been archiving for a friend off the TiVo. Last I heard, the repair shop was waiting for authorization to order a new part.
Oh, and Greg put a phone jack in my office, so all I need is a rug or at least a floor protector and I'll be ready to move all my work stuff into the office. Then the desk can go down in the basement (I'll need friends for that; it's an FH) and the living room will be the next project. Real soon now.
