Do I really want to transfer a copy of Leonard Nimoy's The Way I Feel to digital storage?

Or should I let it die with what dignity it can muster?

At least we're not talking William Shatner -- that would be an easier decision.

Digital storage is fairly cheap. I have lots of things in digital form that don't travel around in my iPod. For what that's worth.

Short answer - yes.

Longer answer requires that one recall the hilarity (to the participants) that ensued when the last stragglers at a party called a friend's number multile times, leaving various messages on their answering machine (safe in the knowledge that said friends were out of town).

Why yes, officer, I have an ironclad alibi - I was giving a party guest a ride back to their home in Nordeast, and I was nowhere near the telephone...

Actually, when I actually put the record on the turntable to listen to bits and pieces, I decided against it. It's not really bad enough to be funny, and the music doesn't really hold any intrinsic interest for me. IIRC, I bought it originally because I thought one of the songs was a favorite of mine, but it turned out to be an entirely different song with the same title.

The only song that caught my interest was a creepy one called "The Hitchhiker."

Now if it were the album that contained "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins," that would be another matter.

So if you want my copy of the album (or a digitized copy), just let me know.

I don't have that Leonard Nimoy album, but I have the one with his hit, "Highly Illogical" which is an amusing novelty. He's an okay singer. Up to you whether you want to digitize it; I would, because I might play a cut on the air and (most importantly) so I could brag about having the files without necessarily playing them.
