Dim sum redux

I discovered that 10:20 is just the wrong time to go to the Mandarin Kitchen. It opens at 10:00, and by 10:20 the place was full. I got one of the first few places on the waitlist, but it was still a half-hour wait because everyone had arrived at 10:00.
The food was worth the wait, though. I had to pass up the plates of barbecued pork and chopped duck because they were too much for one person. Instead, I had sea scallops stuffed with shrimp, baked barbecued pork buns, har gau, turnip cake, and custard buns (which I took home and nibbled slowly).
I'm not sure I'll be interested in dinner tonight.
In answer to
papersky's query, the place isn't really feasible for a Minicon expedition unless you want to make a morning of it. It's a good 15-minute drive from the hotel, and there's probably at least some wait. It'd make a great expedition for a non-Minicon visit, though.
I just happen to have a guest bedroom downstairs...
