Pretty impressive out there

The rain is coming down in buckets, and hail is clanking all over the place. The lights keep flickering, and my DSL has blinked off a couple of times, but both keep coming back. I'm glad I have a UPS, though it hasn't beeped at me yet.

Weather.com claims it's a severe thunderstorm watch, and there's no mention of tornado activity, so I guess it's safe to keep working up here.

You and I are having similar experiences. I don't want to quit my transcription work today if not absolutely necessary, since I don't get paid vacation, so I will keep on assuming that I can keep working. Meanwhile, I am contemplating the differences between a severe thunderstorm watch and a Mickey Mouse watch.
